Johnson Family
Hunter and Julia Johnson
Hunter and Julia Johnson serve the Lord through Chi Alpha Campus Ministry at the University of Virginia. Hunter attended UVA for college and during his time as a student involved with Chi Alpha, he felt a calling from the Lord to work in campus ministry. Hunter and Julia married in July of 2018, and as Julia has spent significant time serving college students with Hunter, she has grown a heart for students and will be transitioning into full-time ministry when they move to Harrisonburg to pioneer Chi Alpha at James Madison University in the fall of 2019.
The Johnsons view the college campus as the most strategic mission field in the world. College is a place where they can reach students from all over the world (students from 130 different countries attend UVA), reach the world’s next leaders, and reach students who are making decisions that will heavily influence the trajectory of their lives. The college years are often a place that makes or breaks a young person’s faith, and the Johnsons are blessed to be able to invest in the lives of these students through discipleship, worship gatherings, leading bible studies, taking students on mission trips, and much more. It is their hope to reconcile students to Christ and impact the university, marketplace, and the world for the glory of God.
